FFXIV and ESO players complain about unfair international pricing

It might not be the most shocking fact you’ll read today, but not all box prices and subscription rates are created equal depending on where you live in the world.

Case in point: The Final Fantasy XIV community in the United Kingdom was distressed to discover that the cost of the new Heavensward collector’s edition is priced at £130 ($192.15) compared to the US price of $130 and EU price of €130.

But just when US players seem to be getting the better end of the financial stick, along comes those sneaky Canadians with their maple mooses and cheaper subscriptions. Players have noted that even with an increase in the cost of an Elder Scrolls Online subscription to $17.99CAD, Canadian players are paying less per month than the US community when you factor in the conversion rate.
